PCM-ZC-200 is not a conventional Ethernet patch cord. It is a dedicated Hesai OT128 LiDAR sensor cable developed for the physical connection between the OT128 sensor and its compatible connection box or supporting control infrastructure.

 

The cable assembly provides an integrated path for the LiDAR system's power and Ethernet communication requirements, helping autonomous-driving prototypes, Robotaxi platforms, and LiDAR test systems achieve a cleaner and more clearly defined sensor connection architecture.

 

Hesai's manual confirms that the optional OT128 connection box forms part of the sensor connection architecture and provides Ethernet and power interfaces on the system side.

Manufacturing Process

 

PCM-ZC-200 uses a pre-terminated cable assembly architecture that integrates the required power and communication conductors into a single LiDAR interconnection harness.

Hesai's published OT128 cable architecture identifies dedicated VCC, GND, and Ethernet data connections between the LiDAR and connection box.

Compared with building separate temporary power and data wiring at the installation site, an integrated cable assembly is better suited to repeatable OEM integration, autonomous-vehicle development, and laboratory test setups.

The OT128 continuously generates high-density 3D point-cloud data, making the physical cable connection an important part of the communication path between the sensor and the data-acquisition system.

Hesai specifies a 1000 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet interface on the optional OT128 connection box, allowing the cable infrastructure to support the sensor's Gigabit-class network connection to downstream computing equipment.

For autonomous-driving data collection, algorithm validation, and continuous road testing, a purpose-built LiDAR cable helps maintain a more controlled connection than improvised adapters or loosely assembled wiring.

Installation Requirements

 

PCM-ZC-200 should be installed according to the OT128 system connector orientation without forcing, twisting, or pulling the connector body.

Hesai explicitly states that each LiDAR can use only one cable and multiple cables must not be connected in series.

Adequate strain-relief space should also be maintained around the connectors, particularly when the cable is installed on vehicle roofs, mobile test rigs, or robotic platforms where vibration and repeated movement may otherwise transfer mechanical stress to the LiDAR interface.
