PCM-TAT-0014 uses an MDR/HPCN 100-pin high-density ribbon architecture that provides 100 contact positions within a compact connector, creating a centralized physical signal interface for high-channel-count industrial equipment.
Compared with systems requiring several D-sub or lower-pin-count connectors, a single HPCN100 connector can consolidate equipment-defined digital I/O, trigger, encoder, feedback, status, and auxiliary control circuits.
This structure is particularly suitable for DAQ cards, motion-control cards, automated test platforms, and industrial controllers requiring numerous circuits between a host card and external terminal hardware.
Stable Connection
PCM-TAT-0014 combines a 100-pin MDR/HPCN interface with a zinc alloy metal hood and mechanical retention for stable mating under equipment vibration, cable weight, and routine maintenance. The metal hood protects solder-cup terminations and the cable exit while supporting a continuous shielding path when used with shielded cable. Proper rear clamping and strain relief further reduce mechanical stress on solder joints, making the connector suitable for long-term DAQ, motion control, ATE, and industrial I/O installations.
Installation Requirements
Before assembling PCM-TAT-0014, verify the complete pin assignment, Pin 1 orientation, connector gender, and retention method of the target DAQ card, motion controller, or I/O device. MDR100 or HPCN100 interfaces do not automatically share identical electrical pinouts. The 1.27mm high-density solder-cup layout requires precise stripping, controlled solder volume, and organized conductor routing to prevent bridging or wire compression. Cable retention, shielding, and rear strain relief should be completed after termination.
Manufacturing Process
PCM-TAT-0014 manufacturing focuses on accurate pin-to-pin mapping across all 100 solder-cup terminals. Conductors are identified, cut, stripped, prepared, and soldered according to the customer wiring diagram. After termination, the internal bundle is organized before shielding, strain relief, and zinc alloy hood assembly to prevent wire or joint compression. Complete cable assemblies can undergo 100% continuity, short-circuit, and pin-to-pin mapping inspections, providing verifiable quality control for DAQ, ATE, and industrial control applications.
