What is the Difference between 2-wire and 3-wire Sensor?

The main difference between 2-wire sensors and 3-wire sensors is the electrical connection and function. 2-wire sensors require only two wire connections to work properly, one for the signal and the other for power. 3-wire sensors require three wire connections, one for signal transmission and two for power and ground connections.

In addition, 3-wire sensors usually have additional functions, such as temperature compensation, linearity compensation, current output, etc. These additional features can improve the accuracy and reliability of the sensor.

In general, 2-wire sensors are relatively simple and economical, suitable for simple measurement applications, while 3-wire sensors are more complex and sophisticated, suitable for applications that require higher measurement accuracy and a wider measurement range.
