The following points need to be considered when choosing an M12 L-code connector:
- Current demand: L-code connectors support current transmission up to 16A. If the device requires higher power transmission, confirm whether the current load is within its rated range. For low-power applications, other codes, such as A-code, can be considered.
- Working environment:
- Protection level: Industrial environments usually require protection levels of IP67 or higher to prevent the intrusion of water and dust. If used outdoors or in humid environments, ensure that the sealing performance of the connector is reliable enough.
- Temperature range: L-code connectors usually operate at temperatures between -40°C and +85°C, which is suitable for industrial environments. If the ambient temperature exceeds this range, high or low temperature models need to be selected.
- Device compatibility: Check whether the device interface is the M12 standard size and ensure that the pin configuration (+L, -L, PE, N) is consistent with the power distribution of the device.
- Connection method: Whether the threaded connector supports quick locking design, whether the cable is flexible, and whether the installation is convenient, etc., all of which will affect the efficiency of field applications.
In an automation control cabinet, if there is a need for multi-way power distribution, you can choose an L-code H-type or T-type splitter with a splitting function to reduce wiring complexity and ensure the stability of power distribution.
