Product Description

This Panel Mount USB extension cable is shielded with wire braid and features 28 AWG data and 24 AWG power wires. Flanged Panel Mounted USB 2.0 Coupler cable includes a panel mount USB type A socket with a USB type A plug at the cable end, making it convenient for enclosing devices with a A type (USB host) port such as Beagle Bone, Raspberry Pi or Mintyboost into a box. The jack half has two mounting 'ears' with 4-40 screws installed, spaced 30mm apart. This series features a bulkhead Type A 3.0 jack to a molded Type A 3.0 plug attached via USB 3.0 compliant cable. Integral to this design is a multi-layered PCB that maintains USB 3.0 speed and performance. USB 3.0 systems are up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 - 4.8 Gbps versus 480 Mbps. The increased bandwidth substantially reduces the time required for transferring large amounts of data or video.The flexible ears allow for imprecise hole drilling. USB Panel-Mount Type A Cable can be used with box walls up to 0.25 inches wide and the screws can be mounted from the back if needed due to box thickness issues. The entire unit measures 13.4 inches in length from tip to tip, with 10.2 inches of cabling between USB connectors.
