Why can't 4A/contact be directly multiplied by 6?

 

A per-contact current rating is established for a particular connection system and testcondition; it is not equivalent to the total current rating when every contact is fully loadedsimultaneously.
When all six circuits carry current, heat generated by the conductors and terminalscan interact, while cable bundling, ambient temperature and heat dissipation also affecttemperature rise.
