What is the difference between PROFIBUS and PROFINET cables?

1, Technical standards and communication mechanisms

PROFINET cables are more suitable for large-scale industrial automation systems and applications with high real-time communication requirements. It is widely used in fields such as robot control, process automation, and factory automation, providing higher communication rates, more flexible topology structures, and stronger scalability. In addition, PROFINET also supports security features such as data encryption and authentication, providing higher network security.
4, Cable selection and installation requirements
In terms of cable selection and installation, PROFIBUS and PROFINET also have different requirements. For PROFIBUS cables, it is necessary to choose the appropriate cable type based on the application scenario, such as DP cables, PA cables, or FMS cables.
