The number of pins for the M23 multifast connector is mainly based on the following application requirements:
- Mixed signal and power transmission: If multiple signal and power channels need to be transmitted simultaneously, 16 or 19 pins are more suitable.
- Signal transmission only: 12 pins are sufficient to meet the connection requirements of most basic sensor or encoder signals.
- High-density connection: 26 or 28 pins are suitable for occasions where the device size is limited and multiple circuits need to be connected centrally, such as large robot end effectors.
- Different current requirements: 19 pins provide up to 9A (partial pin position), which is suitable for drive applications that require higher current.
Suggestions:
- Prioritize the power supply, signal type and quantity that need to be connected;
- Consider reserving pin positions for future expansion;
- If shielding is required, give priority to models with shielding structure.
