1. Electrical safety
- Current and voltage ratings: M12 L-code supports 16A and 63V DC. Make sure the connected equipment does not exceed this limit to avoid overload damage to the equipment.
- Grounding configuration (PE): Connect the ground wire correctly to ensure the safety of equipment and operators, especially in high-power environments.
2. Installation and use
- Tightening design: Threaded connections must be tightened to avoid loose contact or short circuit problems. Use anti-loosening washers to increase safety.
- Protection level: Ensure that the connector reaches IP67 (or higher) after assembly to prevent water and dust from entering the connection point. Especially when used in humid and outdoor environments, it is necessary to check whether the sealing ring is intact.
- Cable selection: Use cables with high current support (such as 2.5mm² or more cross-sectional area) to avoid current overload due to non-compliance with cable specifications.
3. Environmental adaptability
- Temperature range: L-coded m12 are generally suitable for -40°C to +85°C. It is necessary to confirm whether the ambient temperature of use is within this range. For extreme temperature conditions, models with special materials need to be selected.
- Vibration resistance: In high vibration environments (such as robotic arms, vehicles), the connection tightness needs to be checked regularly to prevent loose connections due to vibration.
4. Maintenance and inspection
- Regular inspection: Especially in heavy load or high-frequency plug-in and unplug environments, check whether the pin contact surface is oxidized or worn, and clean or replace it if necessary.
- Seal maintenance: Ensure that the rubber seal is not aged to prevent loss of protective performance.
