Here is how to make an RJ45 crossover cable:
1. Material preparation: You need a twisted pair cable (Cat5e or Cat6 network cable), two RJ45 plugs and crimping pliers.
2. Stripping: Use a wire stripper to strip the outer sheath of the two ends of the network cable by about 2-3 cm to expose the 8 wire cores inside.
3. Sorting the wire sequence:
- One end uses the T568A standard (green white, green, orange white, blue, blue white, orange, brown white, brown).
- The other end uses the T568B standard (orange white, orange, green white, blue, blue white, green, brown white, brown).
- The cross connection between the T568A and T568B standards realizes the crossover of data line pairs.
4. Insert the plug: Insert the sorted wires into the RJ45 plug one by one, making sure that each wire reaches the front end.
5. Crimping: Clamp the plug with a crimping pliers to fix the wire core.
6. Test the connection: Use a network tester to check whether the two ends are connected correctly.
Once completed, this RJ45 crossover cable is suitable for directly connecting two computers or network devices.
