What Type of Wire is Used for Sensors?

The type of wire used for sensors can vary depending on the application and environment. Some common types of wire used for sensors include:

1. Thermocouple wire - used for temperature sensors, this wire is made of two different metals to create a voltage when exposed to heat.

2. Shielded cable - used for sensors that require protection from electromagnetic interference (EMI), this cable has a metallic shield around the wires to block EMI.

3. Stranded wire - used for sensors that require flexibility, this wire is made up of multiple smaller wires twisted together.

4. Twisted pair wire - used for sensors that require high accuracy and low noise, this wire has two insulated wires twisted together to cancel out electromagnetic interference.

5. Coaxial cable - used for sensors that require high-frequency signal transmission, this cable has a single inner wire surrounded by a conducting shield and insulation.

The choice of wire will depend on factors such as the sensor type, operating conditions, and signal requirements.
