Common Circular Connectors

Common Circular Connectors

1. M5 circular connector

The M5 circular connector is small in size and can realize electrical and signal connections between the control system and various sensors, such as pressure sensors, position sensors, acceleration sensors, temperature and humidity sensors, etc.

2. M8 circular connector

The common M8 connector has a thread specification of M8×1.0. Therefore, it is different from many specifications like M12. It has only 3-4 codes and five digits. Because the M8 pin spacing is too small, it is not suitable for high-voltage applications, only suitable for applications below 50V AC or 60V DC.

3. M12 circular connector

The M12 connector is one of the most common connectors in the industrial market and is considered as the backbone connector for IoT system connections. Part of a family of electrical connectors (types M5 to M12, determined by the diameter of their external threads). It complies with the IEC-61076-2-101 standard.

The M12 is a highly versatile product type that offers more locking mechanisms and other options. The connectors are interchangeable according to the IEC standard and are backward compatible with other M12 interfaces with the same coding.

The IEC61076-2-101 detailed specification stipulates 5 coding methods for M12 circular connectors. There are various types of A and C codes. The more channels (number of pins), the lower the rated voltage and rated current. According to its characteristics Can be suitable for different applications.

4. M16 circular connector

The M16 connector was originally developed to meet the requirements of the German Institute for Standardization (DIN Standard), which established the standard for circular connectors for analog audio signals. They have been widely used for many years and are recognized by the audio industry as what consumers call DIN standard connectors.
