Communication is seamlessly initiated through a USB-to-serial cable connection. For added convenience, the product is powered by the Universal Serial Bus, eliminating the need for an external power supply. As a USB-compatible device, it offers features such as plug-and-play, hot-swap and power-saving suspend and resume capabilities. Given the limited number of USB and COM ports on most computers, a USB hub can be used to expand the number of available USB ports, allowing simultaneous connection to numerous USB peripherals.
