General steps for how NMEA 2000 Micro T-connectors work:

 

1. Identify the two backbone cables that need to be connected. These cables will typically have male or female connectors on each end.

 

2. Insert the two cables into the corresponding ports on the Micro T-connector. These ports are typically labeled "A" and "B".

 

3. Connect the device you want to add to the network to the third port on the Micro T-connector. This port is typically labeled "T".

 

4. The NMEA 2000 network will automatically recognize the new device and start transmitting data to and from it.
