1. Insert the DMX signal tester: insert the DMX signal line into the tester, and detect the signal transmission status.

 

2. Indicator light display status:

 

• Red light on (Pin 1 - GND): indicates that the ground wire is short-circuited or open-circuited.
• Green light on (Pin 2 - Data-): indicates that the negative pole is short-circuited or open-circuited.
• Blue light on (Pin 3 - Data+): indicates that the positive pole is short-circuited or open-circuited.

 

3. Abnormal indication:

 

• A single red light is on, indicatesthat pin 1 (ground wire) is short-circuited or open-circuited.
• A single green light is on, indicatesthat pin 2 (negative pole) is short-circuited or open-circuited.
• A single blue light is on, indicates that pin 3 (positive pole) is short-circuited or open-circuited.
• Red and green lights are on at the same time: indicates that the ground wire and the negative pole are short-circuited.
• Red and blue lights are on at the same time: indicates that the ground wire and the positive pole are short-circuited.
• Green and blue lights are on at the same time: indicates that the negative pole and the positive pole are short-circuited.

 

 

• This DMX 512 signal tester is only used to test DMX512 lighting signals. It is strictly forbidden to use it for audio equipment, dimming consoles, etc. Otherwise, the detector may be burned out.
• Due to the different signal refresh rates of different lighting consoles, the LED indicator may flicker, which is normal and does not affect the use.
