PCM-KW-674 combines an RJ45 8P8C female connector with an XLR 3-pin male connector, providing a compact physical bridge between structured RJ45 cabling and professional XLR-connected equipment.

In systems using compatible pin assignments, existing CAT5, CAT5e, or CAT6 cabling can serve as part of the signal-extension path, with PCM-KW-674 providing the XLR interface at the equipment end. This approach can simplify long cable routes and make better use of existing structured cabling infrastructure.

 ◆    Stable Connection

The XLR 3-pin interface is widely used for professional balanced audio. PCM-KW-674 can map the required XLR conductors to designated RJ45 contacts, allowing compatible systems to utilize twisted-pair structured cabling.

 

Its short 21cm adapter section minimizes excess cable at the equipment end. When used with suitable CAT5/CAT6 cabling, correct pin mapping, and proper routing, it provides a clean connection foundation for broadcast, stage, and professional AV systems.

◆    Manufacturing Process

PCM-KW-674 is manufactured as a pre-terminated adapter assembly integrating the RJ45 8P8C female connector, 21cm cable section, and XLR 3-pin male connector.

 

Production control focuses on accurate XLR-to-RJ45 pin mapping, conductor termination, solder integrity, insulation, and connector reinforcement. OEM versions can be manufactured according to customer wiring diagrams and tested for continuity, shorts, opens, and pin-to-pin accuracy.

Q1: Does this cable support transmission of network-based digital audio protocols (such as Dante, AES67)?

A1: Please note that this is an analog RJ45 to XLR male extension jumperdesigned to pass balanced analog sound or DMX512 lighting feeds over raw ethernetcopper cores, rather than network data packets. It cannot be plugged into computer LANports or standard data switches.

Q2: Can I use this adapter cable to transmit stage lighting signals? How compatible is it with DMX controllers?
