Usually, there are two main ways to connect the base station (or computer room) to the RET device (mainly RCU):
1. The RET device is connected to the Bias Tee, and the Bias Tee is connected to the main device through the feeder;
2. The RET device is connected to the AISG interface of the distributed master RRU through the AISG line;
If the base station is very far from the antenna, beyond the range of the AISG cable (usually the maximum distance is 120m to 140m), or when the distance of the ESC line is too long and the risk of lightning strikes at the site is high, the first method is generally considered.
When using the distributed main equipment and the RRU is installed on the tower (on the sky), because the RRU is close to the antenna, the second method is generally used to directly connect the antenna to the RRU through the AISG cable.
