Common Troubleshooting Tips for POS System
1. Why can't the cash drawer of the POS machine be closed or opened suddenly?
Answer: This phenomenon may be caused by the banknotes sliding into the back of the drawer of the cash box during the process of collecting money at the POS machine, and the hook in the cash box is stuck, resulting in the failure to close. Just pull out the drawer and take out the stuck banknotes; if the cash drawer cannot be opened, check whether the connection between the cash drawer and the printer is well connected; observe whether the guide rails of the cash drawer are deformed or blocked by hard objects. After the cash drawer is opened, it is difficult to close it. Check whether the foam in the cash drawer is taken out. If the foam has been removed, check whether the lock of the drawer has fallen off or the guide rail of the drawer has been deformed.
2. Why does the POS cash register display always flash?
A: Check whether the signal line connecting the display to the POS cash register is loose, and you can re-plug it. Or the adjustment button at the bottom of the monitor is in poor contact, which can be adjusted and solved.
3. The POS cash register display is black?
Answer: A. Whether there is no power supply. Check the power connection of the chassis power interface and power cable, check whether the interface and power cable of the main chassis power supply are loose and whether the display is turned on. If the interface and power cable are damaged and broken, they should be replaced in time; confirm whether the power supply fan exhausts air.
B. Whether the power cable and data cable of the display are connected well; whether the display can be displayed normally when the display is changed to another computer.
C. Whether the data line of the display is broken or deformed.
D. If the computer has an intermittent black screen during work, it is affected by the voltage instability, and it will return to normal when the voltage is stable.
4. The POS scanner cannot scan the barcode?
Answer: Check the wiring of the scanner gun: The scanner gun should be connected to the keyboard interface or USB interface behind the POS machine first, and then connected to the computer keyboard through another adapter of the scanner gun (must not be connected to the mouse port); the host and the scanner gun Or whether the wiring between the scanner gun and the keyboard is loose, if the wiring is loose, it may also cause the computer to crash.
5. The POS machine receipt printer cannot print out receipts?
Answer: Whether the power supply and data cable of the printer are loose; whether the printer can pass the self-test (test method: when the printer is powered on, press the paper feed button (do not let go), then turn off the power, stop for 3 seconds, turn on the power, Then release the paper feed key) If the receipt can be printed and there are no garbled characters, it means that the printing hard font library is normal; whether the printer is connected to other computers for normal printing; whether the printer data cable is normal; whether the printer driver is installed normally.
