Technical Compatibility Notice

PCM-KW-553 is fundamentally a mechanical and electrical SIM-interface extension component. It does not change the cellular standard supported by the host communication module and cannot upgrade a 4G device to 5G.

 

For example, if the host module only supports 4G LTE, installing PCM-KW-553 and inserting a 5G carrier SIM does not automatically provide 5G connectivity. Network capability still depends on the modem, baseband, supported frequency bands and carrier configuration.
