Electrical Encyclopedia: 5 Skills To Identify The Authenticity Of Wires

Home decoration is inseparable from wires. Only wires with guaranteed quality can enable us to have a safe and comfortable home. Therefore, when you buy wires, don't buy fake wires.

Fake and inferior wires can cause electrical circuit damage, leakage, fire and other undesirable phenomena. Oh my god! The "fake" wires are so realistically disguised! How to identify?

1. Fire

Fake wires will burn quickly when burned with fire, there will be open flames and thick smoke will be emitted. Real wires burn slowly, with little or no smoke, and no open flames.

Two, packaging

There are markings on the insulation coating of the real wire, such as wire specifications, 3C certification, etc., and the writing is clear. Generally, it cannot be washed off with water, let alone wiped off. If you want to wash off the handwriting, you must use banana water to wash it off. There is a certificate of conformity in the electric coil, the manufacturer's address and telephone number, 3C logo, quality system certification, voltage, wire type specifications, etc. on the certificate. There is no or lack of fake online.

Three, copper

The higher the brightness of the copper, the better the copper, and the brightness is uniform, shiny, and without layering. The copper core of the qualified copper core wire should be purple-red, shiny, and soft to the touch. If you can cut off a small piece of plastic skin, carefully check the copper wire inside, and lightly touch the top of the copper wire with your palm. It should feel smooth and non-tingling, and the hand feels softer.

The fake and inferior copper core wire is purple-black, yellowish or white, with many impurities, poor mechanical strength, and poor toughness. It will break if you apply a little force, and there are often disconnections in the wires. When checking, you only need to peel off the wire 2cm at one end, and then rub it on the copper core with a piece of white paper. If there is black substance on the white paper, it means that there are more impurities in the copper core. In addition, the insulating layer of fake wires seems to be very thick, but in fact, most of them are made of recycled plastics. Over time, the insulating layer will age and cause leakage.

Fourth, the length

The country does not require rice to be beaten, but many manufacturers have also beaten the rice. The rice that is beaten is not necessarily the national standard, but the general national standard generally does not. Non-standard rice harvesting is just a method, and the length of the national standard line is generally 100 meters.

Five, try

It is recommended to bend a wire head repeatedly by hand. Anything with soft hand feel, good fatigue resistance, elastic hand feel of plastic or rubber, and no cracks on the wire insulator is a premium product.
